A short game made in 2 weeks for the #NoticeMe Game Jam.

You are a tiny candle in a dark and spooky dungeon. Your only way of escape is by navigating the very dangerous halls, filled with deadly spikes and perilous jumps. Your candle head is however too big for you to be able to jump, but you are able to throw it. Do not stay away from light for too long though... something lurks in the shadows...

That's pretty great ! we are working on a game right now and we are in a look for a talented dev, if you are up to join any game right now id like to share some of our current concept art/models with you ! cannot send much here though, what's your discord ?

I really love this idea and there were a lot of creative uses throughout what I played.
I got terribly stuck on a stage where you have to toss the candle to the right and then jump back and forth between the moving spike balls. The second to last gif showing off this game actually. I made it a little further than that but not much.
Art and ambience are fantastic, I love the sound design and the way the shadows come. The mechanics keep being built up and expanded on nicely. Leaving behind the candle and then having to go to longer and longer without it. Tossing the candle and catching it on the other side, doing midair catches through a door, very fun stuff.

Interesting and creative!

Great Game! 5/5

Hello! I'm making insane game project in Android Studio with yours assets. I bought all the assets about medieval, but it still not enough for finish my project. Can you send me yours e-mail for contact with you?

A great game and a piece of art at raising blood pressure lol! I'm not too great at pixel perfect things, so I didnt beat it and instead just wound up frustrated. But its a great game in its frustrating design. All the mechanics are so well done, my only gripe is having to hold for how far your candle head gets thrown. Feel like, with mouse and keyboard at least, it'd be so much nicer to just be able to aim with the mouse, and it'd just throw to there, up to its already max legnth, cause dont need to to throw across the whole screen. Other than that, its pretty perfect as aggrivating as it is lol.

I purchased the game but there's no download. I tried getting my purchases emailed back to me through itch and got a download link, but there was no file to download. It also still asks me to pay when I click the download now button, so since I already paid before I tried buying it again (for $0 this time) and still am having the same issue.

I tried playing this with both a switch pro controller and stadia controller wired into my laptop but it wouldn't recognize them except for one button the switch controller. Do you have any ideas on how I could resolve this? Was more so wanting to play with a controller than keyboard

I tested with xbox and playstation controllers. Sorry, but I don’t have a way to test with the others.

You could try finding a program to rebind you controller- you can have it bound to keyboard keys or something. I'd suggest antimicro which is fairly easy to set up.

That last level was a doozie lol

Very fun and unique platformer. Keep up the great work!

Definitely a game worth playing. While cute it also offers a good challenge. I just regret I got stuck.

I enjoyed this cute little flame as he ran for his life or died. Seriously thought this was good and pretty unique, cool game.

Definitely a challenge by the end, but I can say, it was satisfying to walk through the final door!

So first and foremost, love the look of it. My tiny candle body is adorable. Well done on having a "dark atmosphere" that gets even darker when I lose my candle head, yet at no point did I ever struggle to see what was going on on screen. There was only one point where I couldn't quite see what was keeping me from progressing, and it's because I was still learning about triggering doors and missed that I closed one in front of me, so not bad, it was still in the learning stages. This game had a great ramp up to the challenging levels, only occasionally asking for pixel-perfect jumps and precision throws.

That being said....that final level XD

I'm not gonna lie, if I wasn't recording, there's a chance I would've given up. That was the longest time I've spent playing just one level since I started my channel. No part of it was too difficult, up until the final moving platforms. Every part before I could get roughly on the first run, or at least within the first few tries, and by the time I had gotten to the final platforms I was pretty good at the rest.

The only complaint I have about the final level (and honestly the whole game) when you come around the bend over the final platforms, just before triggering them, you can ride over the top to get a glimpse of the challenge below and see the 3 spikes on tracks. I wish somehow you could better see the next 3 as well just to better plan for it. The head throw mechanic is good, but a little tough to maneuver with, especially since you have to hold the throw button. This is the only puzzle I really felt like you had to memorize a sequence, as opposed to being skilled enough to pull it off the first time. Any other one you can quickly figure out the puzzle and run it, this one (unless I did it wrong, totally possible) needed you to fail forward enough times that you saw the next wave of moving spikes to then plan out how to deal with them next, which wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take another minute to get back to that spot to try again each time you fail.

Truly that's my only real complaint though, the other challenging bits I felt were tough but felt great to finally get them, and it wasn't too bad having to restart for them as they were close to the start. Maybe a more official end screen would be nice, but even just that end text was victory enough for me to be honest, haha.

Very fun title, OcO, can't wait to look around at some of your other games in the future!!

I’m really glad you liked it! Thank you for sticking with it to the end! :D

Really nice game! Keyboard controls were a bit awkward, but I prefer to use a controller anyhow and once I plugged that in everything was very smooth. My only complaint is that the ending (or lack thereof) was really anticlimactic. Even just adding a single-screen of the candle in a comfy room with other candles or something would have gone a long way, there.

Was a fun level of challenging up until that one very, very long level. Controls are not nearly polished enough to warrant such a long time between checkpoints.

The game is awesome, good concept and artwork, but the control didn't feel good, Jumping feel stuck and not polish but overall it is very good

8/10 for the artwork and design

6/10 for the gameplay feel

well, the idea is excellent, as well as the implementation, but the game didn't work out to the end due to inconvenient controls that can't be edited.

That was so fun! The little candle is animated wonderfully and you made great use of the mechanics. That last level was a gauntlet but it was satisfying to beat!

Unique concept, super ineresting mechanic. Was really fun!

love it

it s very coll gam,

only I didn't get through((
